In 2020, not only was our usual normality lost, but also the Stuttgart musician Maria Kalesnikawa, who, as a Belarusian opposition politician, is sitting in a prison in Minsk because of her convictions. The music performance white/red/white for turntable, saxophone and electronics is a reflection on influences, symbols and aesthetic elements experienced in contact with the political process in Belarus. Shortly before Christmas 2020, weiss/rot/weiss reminded people of this ongoing situation, which has not improved despite all efforts.
