NIKOLA LUTZ

Brahha

In BRAHHA, art production is integrated with the natural growth processes of a landscape. At the fluid transitions between nature and culture, sounds that Kurt Holzkämper extracts from living plants in a direct process with sensors grow out of their original landscape and are reflected in sound and dance improvisations by Nikola Lutz, Alexandra Mahnke and Cary Shiu. The performers immerse themselves in the natural rhythms of the fallow landscape and linger in the in-between world of a patch of abandoned earth embedded in the urban culture. BRAHHA is a small research trip to re-locate culture in nature on the outskirts of the city.
