MadMap is a series of works in which the YonX ensemble embarks on site-specific research. Traces of different times and events that are visibly or subliminally engraved in places and make them unique are explored and brought to life through multimedia.
MadMap_Waldberta live was created in 2023 as an audiovisual performance as part of a scholarship at Villa Waldberta. The project is dedicated to the immediate surroundings of the villa on Lake Starnberg with its garden, the adjacent landscape and the buildings within the garden. It is striking that the palm house in the garden is a creative place of well-being for us humans, but a deadly trap for a large number of insects. Impressed by this contrast, YonX addresses the situation and encourages reflection on the nature of coexistence between humans and other species.
